In NYC, the boring, overpriced New Year’s Eve parties are in such boroughs as Manhattan and Brooklyn. Meanwhile, the fun, affordable ones are in Queens.
Here’s a guide to NYE in Queens on Dec. 31. (More events will be added as they appear. Only the good ones, though!)
Marage, 3 pm. Four hours of family-friendly fun with sparkling apple cider, glow sticks, arts-and-crafts, resolutions, a deejay, and a balloon drop. (111-10 Farmers Blvd., St. Albans)
SingleCut Beersmiths, 3 pm. Party while the sun’s out with music by Billy & Berk, Colombian style ceviche from Cevich Beetch, and libation discounts. (19-33 37th St., Astoria)
Katch Astoria. 7 pm. Dance the night away to Salsa and Bachata with legendary Cuban musician Chino Pons. (31-19 Newtown Ave.)
Resorts World NYC, 10:30 pm. The Black + White New Year’s Eve Ball features Chef Garfield, Deejay Roy, hats, noise makers, and a champagne toast. (110-00 Rockaway Blvd., South Jamaica)
Sanger Hall, 9:30 pm. A night of stand-up comedy with drink specials and free champagne at midnight. (48-20 Skillman Ave., Sunnyside)
Terrace On The Park, 9 pm. Head to the Grand Ballroom for VIP service, panoramic vistas, music by Bravo Sound, cocktail hour and dinner, and a Times Square simulcast. (52-11 111th St., Flushing Meadows Corona Park)
Hip Hop Caribbean Cruise, 11:15 pm. Party on a yacht with two floors of live DJs, food, drinks, and panoramic views of New York City. (One Marine Rd., World’s Fair Marina)
LIC Beer Project, 8 pm. Have fun in the tap room with cheese boards, a $45 open bar deal, music, and a possible keg ball drop. (39-28 23rd St.)

Resorts World NYC, 9 pm. DJ Lax warms up the crowd. Then at about 9:30 pm, Front & Center rocks songs from many, many genres. (110-00 Rockaway Blvd., South Jamaica)
Thai Rock, 8 pm. Using Thai Rock’s in-house grand piano, Mike Tedesco plays popular songs. Sitdown dinner is available until 9:30 pm. (375 Beach 92nd St.)
Doha Bar & Lounge, 9 pm. Hors d’oeuvres by Love’s Kitchen, music by deejays Bash, Blaze, Gordo, Makilo, and Steve Nieves, party favors, pre-drop specials, and serious dancing. (38-34 31st St., Astoria)
The Parties Continue on Jan. 1
Knockdown Center, 5 pm. Some of the country’s best disc jockeys kick off 2023 with electronic music at the Get Wrecked and Carry New Years Day blowout. The lineup features Wrecked, The Carry Nation, DJ Minx, and Chicago’s Shaun J Wright. (52-19 Ave., Maspeth)
Thai Rock, 6:30 pm. Slide guitar master Kerry Kearney and his guests create a unique acoustic sound with upbeat Blues, inspiring guitar riffs, electrifying slides, and infectious rhythms. (375 Beach 92nd St.)
