#InTheLoop | Queens Taste 2018 = Great Food + Great Drinks + Great Networking
BY QEDC It's In Queens
With delicious dishes, divine drinks, and dazzling desserts, the Queens Economic Development Corporation and the Queens Tourism Council will host Queens Taste 2018 at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on Tuesday, May 1, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The reasons to attend the bash are as diverse as the borough’s population. More than 50 restaurants, beverage purveyors, and dessert makers will offer samples of everything from crunchy to creamy, fiery to flaky, and sweet to savory. Foodies should get ready for Chinese, Cuban, Cypriot, French, Guyanese, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Malaysian, Peruvian, and Thai cuisine.
And don’t worry, more ethnic restaurants are expected to sign up soon!
On the alcohol side, regional wine purveyors will pour their elixirs and at least seven beer products will be on tap. Teetotalers will be able to quench their thirsts with – what else in the Flushing area? — bubble tea. Some clients of the Entrepreneur Space, a food-and-business incubator that QEDC operates in Long Island City, will be on hand with their artisan specialties, such as gluten-free products.
Finally, there’s the networking. Most of the anticipated 650 attendees either live in Queens or do business in the borough (or both). So this will be the perfect scene to meet like-minded individuals, talk shop, and exchange business cards in a friendly atmosphere.
Tickets cost $125 each or two for $200. They are available at www.thequeenstaste.com. Proceeds support QEDC’s ongoing efforts to attract, create, and maintain jobs in the borough. As QEDC is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, proceeds are tax deductible as permitted by law.
