#InTheLoop | Pool Party!
BY QEDC It's In Queens
It’s wet. It’s cool. And it’s oh-so-refreshing.
The Summer Club is now open at the Ravel Hotel in Long Island City.
Imagine a huge, four-foot-deep pool surrounded by a sizable deck, lounge chairs, and cabanas on a rooftop with spectacular views of Midtown Manhattan and Western Queens. Live bands, deejays, specialty cocktails, dancing, and smiling faces add to the experience.
There’s fun every day, but head there to watch Claptone perform on July 3 or the 46th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks spectacular on July 4. Brody Jenner x Devin Lucien rock the joint on July 30.
The Summer Club is open seven days a week from noon to 7 pm. (No entry after 5 pm.) Prices start at $40.
Some unique rules apply. Patrons are asked to use the entrance on Ninth Street between 43rd Avenue and Queens Plaza South, and their belongings might be searched. Items such as food, liquids, drones, and balloons are prohibited.
There’s a “swimwear attire” dress code, and entry is based on the doorman’s discretion. Tickets and cabana reservations are required. Lounge chairs are on a first come, first served basis.
Finally, the accepted forms of payment are cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. (There’s an ATM in the hotel lobby.)
