#InTheLoop | New Flower Patch Is Simply Iris-istible
BY QEDC It's In Queens
The plot keeps thickening in Flushing.
Queens Botanical Garden will provide an oasis of blossoming flora over the next four Sundays — April 18, April 25, May 2, and May 9.
Entitled “Flower Patch on the Farm,” the spot will feature unique floral and garden creature installations in an immersive environment with stunning backdrops for photos. In other words, it’ll be Instagramable!
Attendees will also be able to take home flower pots and floral-themed, grab-and-go craft activity kits. Plus, additional plants will be on sale at $6 per pot.
Tickets cost $15 per adult and $12 per child, student, and senior, while those under age 4 can attend for free. (The price includes general admission and access to the Flower Patch.)
QBG’s pedestrian entrance is at 43-50 Main St., but the urban green space also operates a parking lot with an entrance at 42-80 Crommelin St.
To follow COVID-related safety protocols, QBG will limit capacity at the Flower Patch, and visitors must sign up for allotted times. QBG will enforce other safety measures, such as mask-wearing and social distancing, too.
