#InTheLoop | Local Artists Display Talent in Bayside and Online
BY QEDC It's In Queens

Not much snow, but great art has returned to Queens this cold season with Bayside Historical Society’s 22nd annual Winter Art Show.
Works by more than 50 artists who reside, work or study in the borough are now on display on the BHS online gallery and IRL at The Bay Terrace.
Patrons can peruse acrylic painting, drawing, mixed media, oil painting, photography, sculpture, watercolor, and 3-D figures. Plus, this year features quilt and folk art for the first time ever.
The online show has a main gallery along with one showing art by Bayside High School students and another one with pieces by seniors at the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, Forest View Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, and Cliffside Rehabilitation & Residential Health Care Center.
The live show is in adjacent storefronts located across the parking lot from the Stop & Shop in The Bay Terrace. Look for SoBol and Rosa Pizza between 212-59 26th Ave. and 212-65 26th Ave.
Attendance is free, and the online show has links to purchase items and donate to BHS, a nonprofit that teaches history, advocates for historical preservation in Northeast Queens, and maintains the Castle, a Gothic Revival landmark in Fort Totten, and Lawrence Cemetery.
The exhibition will close on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
