#InTheLoop | Here’s The Queens St. Patrick’s Schedule
BY QEDC It's In Queens
It’s “Céad Míle Fáilte” time in Queens.
First up is the 48th Queens County St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Rockaway Beach on Saturday, March 4, at 1 pm. The route begins in the vicinity of Newport Avenue and Beach 129th Street and ends at Beach 100th Street.
The second procession is St. Pat’s For All, which meanders from Sunnyside to Woodside on Sunday, March 5.
A ceremony with speeches and music is scheduled for noon with a 1 pm step-off. Then, LGBTQ groups, political organizations, cultural groups, children organizations, and musical bands will march up Skillman Avenue from 43rd Street to 58th Street.
Organizers founded St. Pat’s For All in 2000 when the LGBTQ community was prohibited from openly participating in the traditional Manhattan parade on Fifth Avenue. Its theme — cherishing all the children of the nation equally — comes from the 1916 Easter Proclamation of the Irish Republic.
The Queens Chamber of Commerce’s St. Patrick’s Day Annual Luncheon 2023 is at Antun’s (96-43 Springfield Blvd. in Queens Village) on Wednesday, March 15, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Attendees will eat corned beef and cabbage, listen to a live band, and network. Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh and New York City Football Club Chief Operating Officer Jennifer O’Sullivan are the honorees.
The New York Irish Center (10-40 Jackson Ave, Long Island City) hosts 40 Shades of Green: New York’s St. Patrick’s Day Gathering on Friday, March 17, from 3 pm to 9 pm.
Consider this a one-stop shop for St. Paddy’s Day with authentic brogues, dance, music, and plenty of members of the Irish community.
Last but not least, the 2023 Bayside St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on Saturday, March 25, at 1 pm.
Revelers will head down Bell Boulevard from 35th Avenue to 42nd Avenue. As always, many attendees will stay on Bell Boulevard for post-parade restaurant and bar specials.
