Queens is the Land of Milk and Honey.
Well, not exactly, but Queens County Farm Museum is celebrating Milk & Honey Month.
Enjoy the free admission to the 47-acre Glen Oaks property and a wide range of free and fee-based programs during June, which also happens to be National Dairy Month and National Pollinator Month.
Here’s a list of remaining specials at Queens Farm, which is home to the largest apiary in New York State.
-Free daily samples of Cabot Cheese.
-The MOO-velous Kids’ Scavenger Hunt, which encourages youngsters to discover pollinators and earn Milk & Honey Month stickers.
-Milk & Cookie Hour from 3 pm to 4 pm, courtesy of Hudson Valley Fresh.
-Root to Rise: Farm Yoga with instructor Theresa Rossini and free probiotic food, courtesy of Lifeway Kefir, from 10 am to 11 am on June 10, 17, and 24. Click here to join the waitlist
-Bzzz! Apiary Talks with a beekeeper from 10 am to noon on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 11 and 25.
-Cowabunga Storytime at the Con Edison Reading Room from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays, June 10, 17, and 24.
-A Taste of History. Churn butter, taste honey, and tour the historic Adriance Farmhouse on Saturday, June 10 and 24, and Sunday, June 11 and 18.
-Milk & Honey Facial Mask Demos with Backyard Bees from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday, June 11 and 25.
-Spring Dance Celebration. An interactive performance featuring LayeRhythm from 1 pm to 3 pm on June 11, made possible by public funds from City Council Member Joann Ariola and NYC Department of Cultural Affairs. Register here
-June Afternoons. Educational programming on weekday afternoons, June 12 to June 30, 3 pm to 5 pm, made possible by public funds from City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, State Senator John Liu, and NYC Department of Cultural Affairs. Register here

Queens Farm has a free parking lot by the entrance at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway.
