#KidsCorner | Queens kids won’t be bored during Winter Recess

Gather the family for some PG stand-up on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Guess What Comedy Show at The Creek & Cave, 10-93 Jackson Ave., Long Island City. Seating begins at 12:30 pm, and the show starts at 1 pm. Free admission and kid’s menu.
Flushing Town Hall hosts a multi-generational Korean Traditional Marching Band on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 5 pm at 137–35 Northern Blvd. Afterward, an interactive workshop helps participants understand Korean rhythms and instruments and explore traditional movements. $5 per person.
NYC Parks keeps kids busy during the Winter Recess with free organized outdoor sports at Flushing Meadow Corona Park from 11 am to 2 pm. Youngsters can test their skills at street hockey, football, and team building blocks on Feb. 20 and soccer, street hockey, and obstacle courses on Feb 21. The fun is set for the Zoo Picnic area at 111th Street and 55th Avenue in Flushing.
Bring your future firefighters to Roy Wilkins Recreation Center at 177th Street and Baisley Boulevard in Jamaica on Wednesday, Feb 22, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Activities will include a hose drag, dummy drag, and CPR training. Plenty of time to explore cool equipment.
Plan ahead to celebrate girls in sports at the Al Oerter Recreation Center at 131-40 Fowler Ave. in Flushing on Sunday, Feb. 26, from noon to 3 pm, during She’s On Point. This free event features inspirational speakers, sports demos, fun activities, and giveaways for children ages 6 and up.
