#PickoftheWeek | Queens Hosts First-Ever Korea Fest on Sept. 8

South Korea has made an enormous impact on modern day music, food, fashion, entertainment, technology, sports, and health.

So let’s celebrate!!!!

The first-ever Korea Fest debuts at Culture Lab LIC on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 2 pm to 9 pm.

Food is the major focus, and around 20 vendors will serve Korean fried chicken (the real KFC!), BBQ, kimchi, rice cakes, bibimbap, and other bites. Other vendors will sell beauty products, skincare, and other merchandise.

There will also be a stage with dance performances and a DJ playing K-pop.

“Korea Fest is about highlighting Korean culture, promoting diversity and inclusivity, and especially about savoring and sharing Korean food with others,” stated Sarah Choi, one of the organizers.

Culture Lab LIC, whose entrance is at 5-25 46th Ave., is a multi-genre arts promoter based in The Plaxall Gallery, a 12,000-square-foot venue near the East River. The facility includes two fine art galleries, a 90-seat theater, classrooms, and the outdoor event space where Korea Fest will take place.
