This will be a good way to meet some kindred spirits.
Wonders of Whisky presents the WoW Tasting Experience in Long Island City on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 4 pm.
The six-hour celebration will showcase more than 75 whiskies, including ones from Scotland (naturally), Australia, India, Israel, Japan, and the United States. Cocktails, champagne, cognac, gin, mezcal, rum, tequila, and vodka are also in the mix. (Light bites, too!) The dress code is “white attire,” and be prepared for an “after experience” with plenty of dancing.
Prices run from $82.94 (general) to $188.58 (VIP). Attendees must be 21 or over with proper identification.
A portion of WoW‘s proceeds will go to God’s Love We Deliver, a five-star-rated charity dedicated to alleviating hunger and malnutrition in people living with serious illnesses.
WoW will take place at The Bordone LIC (43-10 9th St.), an indoor-outdoor events space with panoramic views of the Midtown Manhattan Skyline and Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge.
Editor’s note: Are you wondering which brands will be served? Here’s a partial list: Ardbeg; Brothers Bond Bourbon; Diplomatico Rum; Don Ramon Tequila; Gin Mare; Glenmorangie; Hardy Cognac; Paquera Mezcal; The Balvenie; The Dalmore; Uncle Nearest; and Whistle Pig.
