It’s time to get in shape for a jam-packed day of wellness.
Queens County Farm Museum and Northwell Health present the first-annual Fun Run + Health Expo on Saturday, Nov. 9.
The program begins with friendly races around the 47-acre property for children (ages 3-6 and 7-12) at 9 am. (Participants receive a goody bag, medal, snack, and water.)
Then the day continues with DJ dance parties, meditation, physical therapy, scavenger hunts, and yoga tips from 10 am to 2 pm. Attendees can sample dried herbs and teas in the Edible Teaching Garden, explore the Adriance Farmhouse, which dates to 1772, with tours offered every half hour, and get safe, fun, temporary tattoos. Don’t forget the craft vendors with artisan wares, food trucks, and hands-on kids’ craft stations.
