Well, Queens residents, it’s the perfect time to run away and join the circus.
True to life in the world’s most diverse borough, four very different spectacles — big tent, small venue, handicap-friendly, lion-loving — are about to unfold at local venues.
First up is I’m Possible at Queens Theatre this weekend.
The inclusive and accessible Omnium Circus presents this show in English with American Sign Language translation. Audio description is offered at all performances, while house lights remain at a low glow. Sounds are capped at 85 decibels, and quiet zones are available.
I’m Possible depicts a young boy who follows his dreams to become a performer. The story is enhanced by aerial artistry, comedy, contortion, crossbows, hand-balancing, juggling, and other tricks. (One woman hangs by her hair in the air.)
Ticket prices run from $24 to $37, and the shows are on Nov. 9 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm and Nov. 10 at 3 pm. Queens Theatre is located at 14 United Nations Ave. S. in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
About a mile to the south, Fl!p Circus will unfold at Forest Park from Nov. 8 to Nov. 26.
The extremely international Fl!p troupe features live music, rhythm-filled dancers, and a Brazilian clown. India-born Hasan Ansari amazes with body-bending pole moves. Czech Republic native Pavel Valla Bertini impresses with one-, three-, and 15-wheel cycle skills. The Reyes Brothers, who hail from Chile, juggle just about anything and everything, and Ukraine’s Bingo Troupe takes care of the physics-defying acrobatics.
Admission is from $25 to $80, and here’s the schedule: Nov. 8 at 7 pm; Nov. 9 at 1 pm, 4 pm, and 7 pm; Nov. 10 at noon, 3 pm, and 6 pm; Nov. 11 at 7 pm; Nov. 12 at 7 pm; Nov. 13 at 7 pm; Nov. 14 at 7 pm; Nov. 15 at 7 pm; Nov. 16 at 1 pm, 4 pm, and 7 pm; Nov. 17 at noon, 3 pm, and 6 pm; Nov. 18 at 7 pm; Nov. 19 at 7 pm; Nov. 20 at 7 pm; Nov. 21 at 7 pm; Nov. 22 at 7 pm; Nov. 23 at 1 pm, 4 pm, and 7 pm; Nov. 24 at noon, 3 pm, and 6 pm; Nov. 25 at 7 pm; and Nov. 26 at 7 pm.

Get something a bit different and more intimate with The Circus of Second Chances at the cozy 3AM Theatre from Nov. 13 to Nov. 17.
Seattle-based Acrobatic Conundrum presents live baking, clowning, Cyr wheel, hand-balancing, and rope acrobatics during these 90-minute presentations.
General admission is $31.90 with VIP tickets for $78.99, and shows are at 8 pm nightly from Nov. 13 to Nov. 17 with a 2 pm presentation on Nov. 16. 3AM Theatre is at 9-20 35th Ave. in Long Island City.
