#InTheLoop | Three Days of Live Surf Music in Rockaway this Weekend

Get ready to rock, roll, move, groove, and maybe even catch a wave.

The Rockaway Beach Surf Music Festival is from Friday, Aug. 25, to Sunday, Aug. 27.

This fourth annual, three-day fete at Rockaway Bazaar features nine bands from as far away as Canada and Chile. Attendees can expect such genres as Exotica, SciFi, Spaghetti Western, Spy, and Tiki.

Admission is free, and the shows are scheduled for 5 pm to 9 pm each night. (Food and beverages will be for sale.)

8 pm: Los Yawares (Chile)

Aug. 24

5 pm: Trash Island (New Jersey)

Aug. 24

5 pm: Band of Others (New Jersey)
6:30 pm: Ninth Wave (Connecticut)
8 pm: Blue Wave Theory (New Jersey)

Rockaway Bazaar is at Beach 97th Street and Shore Front Parkway. There’s on-street parking or take the A train to Broad Channel and the shuttle to Beach 98th Street. The NYC Ferry also has a shuttle option.
