Jeff Zappala and Phebe Taylor have a lot of toys. Raggedy Ann, Barbie, Snoopy, My Little Pony, Popples, and Megatron are only a few.
Check out them (Jeff and Phebe) and them (the playthings) at the newly opened Museum of Nostalgia at 31-27 31st St.
The cozy venue features a wide array of all types of trinkets, dolls, curios, baubles, knicknacks, and vintage objects such as board games, lunch boxes, and televisions trays.
The Astoria gallery — billed as “part museum, part toy shop, all fun” — is a great place to reminisce and play, but Jeff and Phebe also buy and sell products. Plus, the site can be rented for photography and film shoots.
“Whenever people come over, they’re in awe of our collection,” the owners, who are married, state on their website. They add: “You may find yourself saying, “I had that!’”
Regular hours are noon to 7 pm every day but Wednesday. Please feel free to contact Phebe and Jeff beforehand via 718.489.9906 or [email protected].
Editor’s note: For the record, Phebe favors Masters of the Universe merchandise, while Jeff is partial to Transformers paraphernalia.
