Get ready for three days of instrumental twang and reverb by the shore.
The Rockaway Beach Surf Music Festival will rock, rock, rock from Friday, Aug. 25, to Sunday, Aug. 27.
Nine bands from six states will jam during this third annual “Woodstock in the Sand” at Rockaway Bazaar in the vicinity of 97th Street and Shore Front Parkway. Attendees can expect such Hot Rod Surf genres as Spy, Exotica, Spaghetti Western, SciFi, and Tiki.
The Atlantic Ocean will provide background noise for free.
There’s no admission charge, and a wide variety of food and drinks will be for sale.
All sets are scheduled for 5 pm to 9 pm each night. Here’s the schedule with links to music by each band.
