We can talk about the electricity bill later.
The Amaze Light Festival will turn Flushing’s Citi Field into a winter wonderland from Friday, Nov. 19, through Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023. (At the same time, a sister festival will operate in Tinley Park just south of Chicago.)
The Queens layout contains five interactive, holiday-themed worlds where storybook characters Zing and Sparky take attendees on two-hour adventures, thanks to a collaboration between Artistic Holiday Designs and LeBlanc Illuminations.
There’s a lot to do. Explore the North Pole, Land of Sweets, and Whimsical Forest, which includes a ride down Zing’s Thrill Hill with glittering willow trees and reindeer. Spend some time in Sparky’s Sweet Spot and Zing’s Toyporium, a larger-than-life toy store with a charity-focused toy machine. Ride the Arctic Express Train, smell fresh pine in the enchanted Tree Farm, and stroll through Frosty Land to snap a selfie with a huge snowman. Finally, head to the royal castle to meet the princess and make a wish at the fountain.
There’s also food and shopping in German-style cottages.
“Our vision is bringing guests into a fully-immersive world,” stated AHD Creative Director Sarah Basch. “Once visitors step inside, that indescribable magic of the Holiday soaks in.”
Adult admission starts at $44, while children’s prices begin at $36. Children under age two can attend for free. Click here. Plus, parking in Citi Field’s lot, which is located at 41 Seaver Way, is $30 per car.
The Amaze Light Festival will be open from 4 pm to 10 pm with the last ticket sold at 9 pm and light shows at 5 pm, 7 pm, and 9 pm. Here are the days of operation: Nov. 19, 20, 23, 25-27, and 30; Dec. 1-4, 7-11, 14-24, and 26-31; and Jan. 1-8.
This is the first Amaze Light Festival in Queens. The inaugural one took place in Chicago last year.
