It’s a good time to buy some hotels in the borough.

The Queens Monopoly board will be revealed during a special event at Queens Center on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 pm.

First the event. It’s set for the Level 2 Center Court near the Starbuck’s, and it’ll include an unveiling ceremony with prizes, giveaways, a magic act, and photos with oversized props.

Now, Queens Monopoly. Top Trumps USA, which makes educational card and board games, has the original Hasbro copyright for Monopoly. Over the past few months, the company has designed a pure Queens version.

Nothing is public as of press time, but let’s expect that Citi Field, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Louis Armstrong House Museum, Neir’s Tavern, and Rockaway Beach are in there. Community Chest and Chance cards will have local themes as well.

The price is $44.99. Click here to pre-order. (Tax included and shipping calculated at checkout.)

Although the scenery is different, the normal Monopoly rules apply to this version. Players buy real estate, charge rent, pay taxes, risk bankruptcy, and maybe even spend some time in jail.

Queens Center’s main entrance is 90-15 Queens Blvd. in Elmhurst. There’s a huge parking lot on site, and the shopping hub is near the Woodhaven Boulevard station for the R and M trains.
