New York Fashion Week is coming! Get into the groove at the Opening Night NYFW Party in Sunnyside on Friday, Sept. 7, at 6:30 pm.
A benefit for the Break Free Foundation, which advocates to end the stigma of mental health, the four-hour-plus concert features live performances by Nicole Yuengling, Direz, Riese, Scott Buksbaum, JXHAR, and Harrison Dolan at Sanger Hall, 48-20 Skillman Ave.
Tickets are $15 in advanced and $20 at the door.
Here’s some information on some of the talent.
Nicole Yuengling has headlined at such venues as Mercury Lounge. She has gotten into the Country music recently, although she still performs Pop.
Direz is a Latino vocalist from New York City. His early music was primarily Hip-Hop, but now he’s getting into Pop as a vocalist. His latest release, The Love Effect, is the sequel to his 2021 album Something About Love.
Pop artist Riese makes music that veers from break-up anthems to love ballads.
Scott Buksbaum, whose known as “scxtty,” offers heart-wrenching Indie Punk.
Born in Maryland but raised in Harlem, Jxhar has 12 singles, six albums, 17 music videos, three clothing collections, and a rapidly growing fanbase for his R&B Rap.
Originally a drummer, Harrison Dolan picked up piano, guitar, rapping, and singing in college. (Check out his album Cloudlike.) Tyler Katz (drums), Kevin Dubois (guitar), and Michael McCanna (bass) will join him on stage.
