#PickoftheWeek | Jamaica Bay Festival Is on July 12

This event defines the term “There’s something for everyone.”

The Jamaica Bay Festival is on Saturday, July 12, from 8:30 am until late.

Hosted by the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, this eighth annual extravaganza is free, fun, and family-friendly. (It also coincides with City of Water Day.)

So get ready for unparalleled opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of this urban tidal estuary via art, bird watching, fishing, hiking, kayaking, nature, surfing, and live music into the night.

Events take place on the Brooklyn and Queens sides of the Gateway National Recreation Area – i.e. Canarsie Pier, Floyd Bennett Field, Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, Shirley Chisholm State Park — as well as the Rockaway peninsula.
