South African singer-songwriter Jonathan Butler received Grammy nominations for his songs “Lies” and “Going Home.”
Spoken word virtuoso Gha’il Rhodes Benjamin, who grew up in the United States, has performed all over the world and appeared in commercials, radio shows, and television specials.
These artists will meld talents during the Black Spectrum Theatre’s Dinner Theatre Series in Jamaica on Saturday, Nov. 16.
True to its name, the event has a dining experience that starts at 5 pm with the concert scheduled for 7 pm. (Tickets cost $90 for total experience or $60 for the entertainment only.) Proceeds will benefit the host agency’s youth programs.
Black Spectrum’s 325-seat performance space is inside Roy Wilkins Park in the vicinity of Baisley Boulevard and 177th Street. Free parking is nearby.
