It’s cold outside so let’s stay inside and eat…and drink…a lot.
M. Wells hosts a Winter House Party on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 6 pm.
This seasonal fête includes fondues, hot pots, cheeses, veggies, meats, seafood, dips, sauces, breads, chocolate, fruits, sweets, and six pairings of high altitude attitudinal wines and spirits. Expect the ambiance to be lively and boisterous at times and cozy and intimate at others.
Reservations are $195 per guest.
M. Wells specializes in Québécoise cuisine and fun as co-owner Hugue Dufour grew up on a farm in Lac-Saint-Jean, about six hours north of Montréal. (His wife and co-owner Sarah Obraitis is a proud Queens native.)
The concept began as a diner near Hunters Point Avenue in Long Island City in 2010. It immediately created buzz with maple-smoked meats, apple-scented blood pudding on savory kraut, and other north-of-the-border specialties. After the lease ended, M. Wells bounced around Western Queens a bit while earning a prestigious Michelin recommendation before landing at 43-15 Crescent St., were it currently operates.
Street parking is limited, but M. Wells is a short walk from the Court Square/23rd Street (E, M, 7 trains) and Queensboro Plaza (N, W lines) stations, and bicycle racks are outside.
