Trump won’t be there, but the wise cracks will.
Q.E.D. will host a Republican Primary Debate Party on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 9 pm, with a funny bone-tickling twist.
Professional comedians Frank Conniff (TV’s Frank from “MST3K”), John Fugelsang (“Tell Me Everything” on SiriusXM), and Myka Fox (Comedy Central) will sit with attendees at the Astoria performing space. They’ll add their spice as the politicians compete to pull within 40 points of Trump in the polls.
Yes, 40 points. The scenario is already a joke…and Q.E.D. is adding jokesters.
Admission is $12 by Sept. 25 and $17 thereafter. No food or drink minimums.
The debate will project on a nine-foot screen in the showroom. Q.E.D. states: “Instead of scream-crying at home alone, come laugh with comedians.”
Located at 27-16 23rd Ave., Q.E.D. is a woman-owned and operated arts space. Comedy shows, writing workshops, storytelling, movie screenings, and watch parties are among events that take place at the 1,200-square-foot site which includes a bookshop, rehearsal space, and recording studio. The name is an abbreviation of “Quod Erat Demonstrandum” which translates from Latin as “That Which Has Demonstrated.”
