#Newsflash | New York BagelFest is at Citi Field on Sept. 28

It’s seedy, fishy, and crummy…and that’s why we love it.

New York BagelFest is at Citi Field’s Piazza 31 Club on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Celebrating its fifth anniversary – but in Queens for the first time – this smorgasbord features about 50 exhibitors of bagels (naturally), spreads, and other thematic foods. Some of the displayers will create special mixes just for the festival whose presenting sponsor is King Arthur Baking Company.

Other scheduled activities include panel discussions, immersive experiences, competitions, tastings, family-friendly games, and live entertainment. Participants will be able to vote for Best Bagel, Schmear of the Year, and other categories.

Ticket prices start at $49 for the morning (10 am to 1 pm) or afternoon session (1 pm to 4 pm).

“Hosting BagelFest at an iconic New York venue like Citi Field is as perfect a pairing as bagels and cream cheese,” stated founder and main organizer Sam Silverman. “We’re excited to once again feature artisans from around the globe, all vying for the coveted title of Best Bagel among other prestigious awards. A bagel renaissance is happening all around us, and BagelFest is the epicenter of it.”

Piazza 31 Club is located inside Citi Field. Spread out over 12,000 square feet, the indoor space has high- and low-top tables, lounge furniture, and concession stands. It overlooks the surrounding Queens area, Manhattan skyline, and USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
