This event will put attendees in good spirits!
Wonders of Whisky presents the WoW Tasting Experience in Long Island City on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 4 pm.
The four-hour celebration will showcase more than 75 whiskies, including ones from Australia, India, Israel, Japan, Scotland (naturally), and the United States. Other pours include Champagne, Cognac, Gin, Mezcal, Rum, Tequila, and cocktails created by a Mixologist. (Canapés, too.)
The dress code is “white attire,” and general admission runs from $115 to $150. The VIP price — which includes a premium cigar, a tasting glass, and other goodies — is $195. All are invited to a two-hour after-party at the same venue at 8 pm.
There’s also an altruistic reason to attend WoW as a portion of the proceeds will go to 9 Million Reasons, a Long Island City-based nonprofit that distributes groceries and essentials to New Yorkers in need.
WoW will take place at The Bordone LIC (43-10 9th St.), an indoor-outdoor events space with panoramic views of the Midtown Manhattan Skyline and Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge.
Editor’s note: Attendees must be 21 or over with proper identification. Brands include Ardbeg, Brothers Bond Bourbon, Diplomatico Rum, Don Ramon Tequila, Gin Mare, Glenmorangie, Hardy Cognac, Paquera Mezcal, The Balvenie, The Dalmore, Uncle Nearest, and Whistle Pig.
