#InTheLoop | Outdoor Carnivals at Citi Field and Astoria Park
BY QEDC It's In Queens
Is Queens ready for the Mulligan Swing? How about the Dream Catcher, Sky Hawk, and Wisdom Himalaya?
Dreamland Amusements will present Citi Field Carnival from Wednesday, June 30, to Sunday, July 4.
Family-friendly fun is the aim with adrenaline-awaking rides, games with prizes, and summer food vendors. Tickets for one single ride cost $1.50, while 20 tickets go for $30. There’s also a 50-ticket bonus package for $60.
Citi Field Carnival will operate next to the 7 Train’s Mets-Willets Point Station from 4 pm to 10 pm from June 30 to July 2 and from noon to 10 pm on July 3 and July 4.
If these dates don’t work for you due to vacation, COVID, camp, work or any other conflicts, don’t worry.
Dreamland Amusements will present Astoria Park Carnival from Wednesday, July 7, to Sunday, July 11. The prices are the same. Most of the rides will be the same. The food won’t vary too much, either.
Astoria Park Carnival will operate in the vicinity of Hoyt Avenue North and 19th Street from 4 pm to 11 pm from July 7 to July 9 and noon to 11 pm on July 10 and July 11.
Here’s a primer on some of the huge machines that might be at the two spots.
Dream Wheel: Seven-stories-high with breathtaking views.
Super Himalaya: One of the fastest rides in the entire United States.
Delusion: A towering ride that turns patrons upside down.
Sea Dragon: A pendulum that swings to the sky.
Starship 3000: A straight shot to the Milky Way.
Alien Invasion: A trip through the galaxy.
