#InTheLoop | Let’s Talk Turkey. Fresh, Free-Range, Hormone-Free, Locally Sourced Turkey
BY QEDC It's In Queens
Here’s a great reason to give thanks.
Jamaica resident Abou Sow and his Prince Abou’s Butchery is selling all-natural turkeys at reasonable prices.
Queens dwellers can support a borough business and delight the family on Thanksgiving with never-frozen, fresh-processed, free-roaming, steroid-free, preservative-free, hormone-free, and animal-byproduct-free birds. They’ll also be supporting ethical treatment, local sourcing, and sustainable farming.
The turkeys come in three sizes — 12, 20, and 28 pounds — and sell for $5.99 per pound. The deadline to order is Sunday, Nov. 7, for personal delivery on Monday, Nov. 22.
These transactions are online for now, but Prince Abou’s Butchery, a winner in last year’s Queens Economic Development Corporation StartUP Business Competition, is about to open a storefront on Steinway Street in Astoria. (More details when they’re available.)
