#InTheLoop | Best Brunch Bistros in the Borough (Bon Appétit)

BY QEDC It's In Queens

It starts whenever you want. It’s as fancy as you want. It’s as boozy as you want. And it’s totally Instagrammable.

Brunch is alive and well in Queens, especially now that that it’s getting warm and restaurants can operate at 50 percent capacity. However, there’s an embarrassment of riches in this cuisine-rich borough as there are so many wonderful places to eat pleasantly prepared eggs and drink fruity mimosas.

Here’s a list of some great options with some extra info.

Bungalow Bar (Rockaway Beach). Bungalow Fizz (prosecco and strawberry purée). Meat Lovers Omelette.

Café Muscat (Fresh Meadows, Kosher). Vegan Shakshuka. Muscat Mallawach, flaky Yemenite dough filled any three of Mozzarella, Feta, Hard Boiled Egg, Mushrooms, Onions, Olives, and Corn.

Casa Enrique (Long Island City). Lime-Cured Ceviche.

Dirty Pierre’s (Forest Hills) Cali Chicken Sandwich. Bowl of Mussels.

Jackson Hole (East Elmhurst). Chipotle Eggs Benedict. Angelina Style French Toast.

Lake Pavilion (Flushing). Dim Sum.

Mom’s Kitchen (Astoria). Bedrock Pancakes. Chicken and Bacon Waffle.

Queens Bully (Forest Hills). Catfish or Shrimp Grits. BBQ Breakfast Plate.

Quaint (Sunnyside). Eggs Nova. Kir Royale, sparkling wine with crème de cassis.

Sabor de Cuba (Astoria). Tapas. Arepas Varadero.

Sanfords (Astoria). Crispy Duck Confit with Waffles and Sweet Plantains.

Sangarita’s (Bayside). Tostada de Aguacate. Croque-Monsieur.

Shady Lady (Astoria). Ultimate Cheesy Shady Tots. Egg White Fritatta.

Sugar Freak (Long Island City). Beignet Sliders. Jambalaya and Eggs.

Sweet Afton (Astoria). Breakfast Nachos. Fried Pickles. Sweet Potato Flapjacks.

The Deep End (Ridgewood). Huevos Diablos. Carmelized Brioche French Toast.

The Queensboro (Jackson Heights). Pancakes with Dulce de Leche Butter. Eggs Norwegian.

Vesta Trattoria (Astoria). Warm Bankie, creamy polenta base, fried egg, asparagus, wild mushroom, truffle oil, and home fries.

White Radish (Forest Hills). Blueberry Pudding Puff. Green Chilaquiles.

Editor’s note: Many wonderful brunch places are temporarily closed due to the pandemic. If they re-open, they will be added to the list.
