It’s the time of year when people throw their hands in the air and exclaim: What do you give the family member who has everything?
As always, the answer lies in Queens, where seasonal markets sell food, crafts, and clothing by local vendors. Operating on various dates, the markets reflect the world’s most diverse county and offer perfect gifts for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Birthdays, and even New Year’s Eve.

Dec. 8, 14th Annual Craft Show, Dec. 10. More than 30 ceramic artists sell handmade pottery on Dec. 8, 5 pm–9 pm; Dec. 9, 10 am–7 pm; and Dec. 10, noon–5 pm. BrickHouse Ceramic Art Center, 10-34 44th Dr., Long Island City.
Dec. 9, Christmas Grand Market 2023, 5:30 pm. Braata Productions, a nonprofit that promotes Caribbean and Caribbean-American events and artists, organizes a bazaar with local vendors and performances starting at 7 pm. Merrick Academy Charter School, 136-25 218th St., Laurelton.
Dec. 10, Holiday Market, Dec. 17. A full house of vendors selling jewelry, toys, chocolate, body care, handbags, clothing, stationery, scarves, hats, pottery, and other items. Markets are from noon to 6 pm on Dec. 10 and Dec. 17. Bohemian Hall + Beer Garden Main Hall, 29-19 24th Ave., Astoria.
Dec. 10, Community Market Party, noon. Six hours of art, clothing, drinks, and food surprises. M. Wells, 43-15 Crescent St., Long Island City.
Dec. 10, Wrap-and-Ribbon Holiday Market, noon. A celebration of the community’s entrepreneurship, flavors, and diversity, as local small businesses showcase and sell their products. Commonpoint Queens Sam Field Center, 58-20 Little Neck Pkwy., Little Neck.
Dec. 14, Made In Queens Market, Dec. 15. QEDC’s annual, two-day market features borough makers only from 10 am to 2 pm on both days. Accessories, art, bags, baked goods, candles, chocolate, clothing, hot sauce, Indian snacks, jewelry, tie dye. Bulova Corporate Center Atrium, 75-20 Astoria Blvd., East Elmhurst.

Queens Farm Holiday Market, Dec. 24. Savvy shoppers peruse trees, wreaths, poinsettias, and unique gifts. Open from 10 am to 5 pm, but from 10 am to 2 pm on Dec. 24. Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Pkwy., Glen Oaks.
