#InTheLoop | MoMA PS1’s Warm Up Series Is Back for a 26th Season

One of the summer’s most popular outdoor programs is back! MoMA PS 1’s Warm Up 2024 will unfold on six Fridays from July 12 to Aug. 16.

But hurry because tickets are selling like hotcakes!

Now in its 26th season, Warm Up presents live DJ sets and shows in the PS1 Courtyard. From 4 pm to 10 pm each time, four distinct sets build from sonic experimentation into dancefloor breakbeats. The main idea is to dance and get down on a stage designed by artist Stewart Uoo. Another goal is to amplify under-recognized subcultures and communities that are innovating electronic music.

Tickets cost $18 in advance and $22 at the door. (Students with identificiation pay $15 in advance or $18 at the door.) A $75 season pass provides access to all sessions. Click here to reserve. Please see editor’s note for information on prices for local residents.

Detroit techno pioneer Terrence Dixon spearheads this summer’s line up along with queer nightlife icon KIM AHN, Paris-based electronica producer Emma dj, Atlanta-based founder of Underground & Black Ash Lauryn, avant-garde ensemble Tongue in the Mind, and a collaboration between Juliana Huxtable, Jealous Orgasm, and Via App. Other performers include São Paulo collective co-founder and record label Mamba Negra Cashu, Miami-based trance musicians SoFTT, Hyperdub label founder Kode9, and Jersey club luminary UNIIQU3.

A group of cultural practitioners linked to NYC’s sound, music, and nightlife scenes – Korakrit Arunanondchai (Ghost/BKK), E. Jane (MHYSA), Tom Laprade (Montez Press Radio), Oscar Nñ (Papi Juice), and Jen Sillen (Rash/Club Cringe) – serve as this year’s host committee.
