#InTheLoop | Four Nights of Dance at Socrates Sculpture Park

It takes two to tango, but how many does it take to chacarera, malambo, murga, and zamba?

Find out when Silvana Brizuela-Weigel offers an Argentine Folk Dance class and performance at Socrates Sculpture Park on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 6 pm.

Born in Buenos Aires, Brizuela-Weigel can dance, teach, and create choreography. She started at the Escuela Nacional de Danzas and Teatro Colón, where she got a postgraduate degree in Ballet. From there, it was on to Teatro Municipal General San Martin.

The event kicks off this year’s four-part Dances Around The World’s Boro, which is presented via a collaboration with Queensboro Dance Festival.

All sessions are free and set to start at 6 pm. Registration is not required.

Here’s the rest of the schedule.
