John, Paul, George, and Ringo? No, Brandon, Brian, Landon, and Todd.
Straight off their PBS special, The Modern Gentlemen head to Queensborough Performing Arts Center in Bayside on Friday, Aug. 18, at 8 pm.
Each of these four crooners has a distinctive voice and charm. Together, they create harmonies with seamless transitions between genres and eras that transcend time. (Add great suits and entertaining on-stage banter.)
They were certainly good enough for Frankie Valli, who took them on tour for 10 years. They’ve also shared billing with The Beach Boys, Smokey Robinson, Lionel Richards, and most recently, Doja Cat.
Ticket prices runs from $33 to $58.
Brandon and Brian are brothers from West Covina, California. Brian also acts, and his credits include a recurring role on “General Hospital,” “Boston Legal,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He was also a background vocalist on “American Idol” for two seasons as well as “The Voice” and “America’s Got Talent.”
Brandon began singing at age eight. He’s opened for Jay Leno and Joan Rivers and appeared onstage with Astoria native Tony Bennett, Melissa Manchester, Pat Benatar, and many others.
Landon Beard grew up in San Diego. He was in the hit New York production of “Altar Boyz” and spent more than 10 years on the road with various artists on five different continents. His voice appears in advertising for such companies as Toyota, NBC, Warner Bros., Pepsi, and Disney.
The fourth member, Todd Fournier, is one of 10 children from Toledo, Ohio. He began his career as an entertainer for Norwegian Cruise Line before making it to such shows “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Aida,” “Grease,” “Miss Saigon,” and “Oklahoma!”
The newly renovated Queensborough Performing Arts Center, which is located at 222-05 56th Ave., has an 875-seat proscenium theater. A parking lot is nearby.
