Founded in 2003 as a stapled zine, Reverse Shot is now the Museum of Moving Image’s online publication for visual media. It provides film reviews, interviews, essays, columns, and industry news.
And it’s had a great two decades.
MoMI kicks off Reverse Shot’s 20th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, Sept. 22, and screenings, panel discussions, a symposium, and the release of a new anthology book are on tap.
“For the last 20 years, Reverse Shot has fostered a community of critical thinking, emotional engagement, and a shared passion for cinema that’s thrived online and in person, in our theaters and on the page,” stated MoMI Curator of Film Eric Hynes, who began writing for Reverse Shot in 2003. “It’s been a great run; long may it continue.”
All the selected movies have been analyzed in Reverse Shot over the years. Tickets are $15 with discounts for seniors, students, and youth. Here’s the schedule.
