You really can tiptoe through the tulips in this borough.
Queens County Farm Museum hosts Blooms from Wednesday, April 17, to Sunday, May 19.
This immersive experience takes place in a sprawling field of more than 70,000 U-pick tulips in a variety of vibrant colors and aromas. Attendees can pick out bouquets with designated containers, snap seasonal selfies, and simply wander through the loveliness.
Field entry costs $8 for adults and $6 for children from ages three to 11 years. (Those under three can attend for free.)
Tulip varieties include Algarve Early, Orange Brilliant, Jan Van Ness Triumphs, Texas Flame Parrots, and Queen of the Night. All Certified Naturally Grown, they were raised using regenerative agricultural practices, just like all Queens Farm crops.
Open to the public from Thursdays to Sundays, Blooms will operate from 1 pm to 4:30 pm on weekdays and noon to 4:30 pm on weekends with timed entry.
Tickets are released on Mondays after Queens Farm assesses field conditions and capacity. Click here to sign up for ticket announcements. (One exception: The Sheep Shearing Festival is on May 11, and Blooms will be available as an add-on experience for festival attendees only.)
Sitting on 47 acres, Queens Farm includes habitats for livestock, planting fields, and a vineyard with free event parking and bicycle racks. The main entrance is at 73-50 Little Neck Pkwy. in Glen Oaks.
