Each class costs $71.21 and includes a welcome drink and a keepsake glass.

Upcoming dates are on April 12, April 26, May 3, and May 10. All the 90-minute sessions start at noon.

Located at 38-15 23rd Ave., Tipsy Scoop Queens opened last Spring. The franchise has seating for about 15 customes inside with an outside space as well. Prices begin at $6.50 for one scoop or $9.50 for two.

Melissa Tavss founded Tipsy Scoop as a catering business in 2014. The company grew to a point where it now has franchises (called “barlours”) all over the United States and in the Bahamas. Her great-great-great grandfather immigrated from Italy to Scotland, where he sold homemade ice cream from a pushcart before opening a parlor in Glasgow. His children got involved in the business and ice cream became a family tradition. (Tavss, who has a Masters in Integrated Marketing from NYU, added alcohol to the tradition.)

Editor’s note: Teatotalers and those under age 21 have reason to rejoice as well. Tipsy Scoop Queens offers a Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae decorating class on April 20 at 1 pm. It’s $35 per child and parents get 50 percent discounts on everything. Click here for a complete list of classes and events.
