The deliciousness never fades away in this borough.
An Evening of Fine Food is set for Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm.
More than 700 people are expected to bring their stomachs and good cheer to this 29th annual celebration, which also serves as a fundraiser for Queens Centers for Progress, a nonprofit that helps more than 1,200 individuals with developmental disabilities lead more independent lives.
Attendees will enjoy samples from food and drink purveyors and celebrate the two Chefs of the Year: Vaughn College President Sharon B. DeVivo and The New Terminal One at JFK Chief of Staff Uzoamaka N. Okoye. Plus, Rachel Kellner from Aigner Chocolates will receive the Claire Shulman Spirit of Community Award.
Tickets cost $150.
“It’s incredible to see the continued enthusiasm for this event year after year,” stated QCP Director of Development Wendy Gennaro. “People tell us they leave with a list of must-visit restaurants and a renewed commitment to supporting our work. The Evening of Fine Food isn’t just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of community, culinary creativity, and compassion.”
QCP Executive Director Terri Ross added: “Beyond the delicious food, it’s inspiring to know that every ticket purchased directly supports our programs, helping individuals with developmental disabilities pursue fuller, more independent lives.”
Terrance on the Park is at 52-11 111st St. on the Corona side of FMCP. The venue has a large, free parking lot, and it’s only about five miles from the 7 train station to 111th St.
