New 2018 Artist Co-Op exhibition at Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning opens next Thursday. JCAL’s Artist Co-Op is an annual exhibition featuring emerging and mid-career artists from around the borough of Queens and NYC. The goal of the exhibition seeks to reflect the diversity, talent, and quality of work in the Visual Arts of Queens.
The exhibition includes photography, painting, mixed media works and sculpture by 12 emerging and mid-career artists. Open to the public.
Opens October 10, 2018 7 pm and runs through January 10, 2019 at Miller Gallery.

A few years ago a local hand-crafted holiday fair at the Trackside Cafe at Austin’s Ale House in Kew Gardens created a home spun market for local artists to sell their creations to shoppers. The close-knit community responded positively to the event. After a brief hiatus, the craft fair is back again spearheaded by Queens artist, Germane Tautz.
