Enjoy getting lost in NYC’s only corn maze! The adventure begins with a stalk talk to prepare you for the 3-acre challenge of finding clues, solving puzzles and making your way out of this interactive maze. Feel up to the challenge? A visit to the Amazing Maize Maze is must-see NYC!

October is pumpkin month at the farm! Enjoy the crisp fall air as you wander through the patch to find the perfect pumpkin. Walk the farm grounds and soak in a little bit of New York history. Queens Farm is the longest continually farmed site in New York State. Our goats, steer and alpacas will be looking for you! (Pumpkins priced by size.)

Can’t make it on the weekend? Pumpkins are available for purchase in our Farm Store on weekdays in October.

Bayside Historical Society’s annual TOTTEN TROT 5K is on a waterfront course in historic Fort Totten Park on Little Neck Bay in Bayside, a pristine stretch surrounding a preserved Civil War fortress. Runners will pass through the Historic District, which consists of buildings dating to the late 1800s. The Fort is situated where the Long Island Sound meets the East River at the Throgs Neck Bridge. The start and finish are located at the landmarked Officers’ Club, home of Bayside Historical Society. The course includes a loop out onto Little Bay Path to the Throgs Neck Bridge and back to the Fort. Timing and scoring are provided by elitefeats on a USATF Certified Course. Halloween costumes encouraged for adults and kids!

The KIDS’ FUN RUN at 10:00am is a short-distance sprint for tiny tots and kids up to 12, grouped by age category. Special “Cookie Medals” for participants in the Fun Run! Free to children of registered 5k runners; $5.00 for other children (register on race day).

Amenities & Awards for the 5K race include:
• Cash prizes for top three overall male and female winners
• 1st place trophies & 2nd place and 3rd place medals
• $50 Value Gift Certificate for Best Costume Award
• T-shirts to first 150 participants
• Raffle prizes open to all registered runners
• Goodie bags filled with fun freebies given out to all registered runners

Enjoy the party after the race in the historic ballroom of the landmarked Officers’ Club, the Castle, for the presentation of awards and breakfast with live music.
