The first mention of an Easter Bunny in literature is in Georg Franck von Franckenau’s Do ovis paschalibus (About Easter Eggs) in 1682. Originally part of German Lutheran folklore, they began as judges who evaluated whether children had been bad or good (not to be confused with Santa’s naughty or nice) at the beginning of the Easter season. Over time, they acquired such accessories as clothes, baskets, toys, colored eggs, and candy.
The Shops at Atlas Park, which celebrated its 15th anniversary last year, is located at 80-00 Cooper Ave. It has onsite parking.
