It’s in Queens
#WeeklyPick | Dine In Queens means fantastic food at fantastic prices from Oct. 16 to Nov. 2
Let’s eat our way through the borough!
More than 100 restaurants — including newly opened places like Matiz in Forest Hills and Sushi Fusion in Flushing as well as old favorites such as Bayside’s Bourbon Street and O Lavrador in Jamaica — will serve their best cuisine during Dine In Queens from Oct. 16 to Nov. 2.
Most eateries will serve a three-course, prix-fixe dinner for $28 and lunch for $14, and owners will decide if they want to offer their specials on weekdays, weekends or both.
More than 20 neighborhoods have at least one restaurant in Dine In Queens, and more than 25 cuisines are represented. So diners can enjoy everything from Argentine to Japanese to Uruguayan food in everywhere from Astoria to Jackson Heights to Woodside.
“The entire world loves the restaurants in Queens,” stated Queens Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Seth Bornstein. “Now these customers can enjoy the wonderful cuisine and warm hospitality at tremendous prices. I suggest the steaks, sushi, soul food, Spanish dishes, salads, scallops, sesame chicken, and soba.”
Editor’s note: Dine In Queens was formally known as “Queens Restaurant Week.” It is a Queens Tourism Council program whose sponsors include JetBlue Airways, Restaurant Depot, It’s In Queens, Austin’s Ale House, Bourbon Street, Fishscale Market, LIC Flea & Food, and One Station Plaza.
