Join Flushing Town Hall in welcoming the Astoria Big Band playing Memories of Jazz in Queens! Founded in 1986 by baritone saxophonist Carol Sudhalter, the Astoria Big Band presents the music of Queens’ greats including Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Jutta Hipp, Big Nick Nicholas, Sarah McLawler, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, and more. In front of the band, a group of swing dancers, the Big Apple Lindy Hoppers, bring zest, color, and movement to this already engaging performance!
