Everyone is welcome to take part in fun, open performances of the Requiems of Mozart and Brahms.
Our Lady of Mercy Church in Forest Hills will host two Summer Sings this August, inaugurating an exciting new tradition in our borough. On Thursday August 16, David Close and Ben Arendsen will conduct the Mozart “Requiem,” and on Thursday August 23 Ronnie Oliver Jr. will conduct the Brahms “Requiem.” Musical scores will be provided. Admission payable at the door.
Summer Sings are open performances of major choral works. They are a chance for anyone who enjoys singing to join a rousing community event. Leading local conductors guide an impromptu choir through some of the most iconic works of choral literature.
